| The figures are current, but they are for full-time legal work . As far as I know, foreigners can't legally get part-time work. You might be paying tax as a "service provider", but it should be you going to the tax bureau and paying that (and admitting you are working illegally), not them. |

It's not as good as downloading a torrent file of the show, but you don't have to wait. Other stuff includes: Match of the Da... |

| Now that Google Buzz has been embedded in Gmail, there seems a good chance that Gmail and Buzz will be blocked in China, as Buzz is effectively a competitor to Facebook and Twitter, both of which are blocked on the mainland. |

| If you are living in China and using a Chinese ISP to connect to the internet, you can download free music from Google.cn. Google did a deal with a bunch of record companies to allow this, so the downloads are legal. http://www.google.cn/music The interface is in Chinese, but you can search in Engli... |

The experiences they have probably vary more than in just about any other ESL market due to ... |

| I suppose the key question is what will happen to access to google.com in China if google.cn closes. In the past it was occasionally blocked, but access has been fairly consistent for a while now. (some links don't work because of censorship, and the site can be temporarily unavailable if you search... |

| Looks like Google has finally had enough of trying to work with the "harmonious society". From CNN: http://edition.cnn.com/2010/TECH/01/12/google.china/ The Google blog entry itself: http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2010/01/new-approach-to-china.html An interesting blog posting by Rupert Goo... |
